Embedded SW Engineer

Position Summary

Notal Vision is looking for an embedded SW engineer to join the R&D team. The embedded SW engineer will be involved in the design, development, implementation, and verification of embedded module in a novel ophthalmic monitoring device.

Specific Duties

• Design and implement embedded devices software from requirements to production and commercial deployment
• Design, develop, code, test and debug software and systems
• Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability and scalability of the developed software
• Support software QA
• Integrate and validate new product designs
• Provide post production support
• Interface with hardware design and development
• Assess and utilize third party and open source software

Requirements

• A university B.A./B.Sc. in Computer Science or engineering
• Proven working experience in software engineering
• Solid programming experience in C++ or C
• Knowledge in hardware/software interfaces
• Experience in some of the following hardware/software interfaces: motors control, scanners, cameras, sensors, other HW control systems
• Strong documentation and writing skills in English
• Proven experience in design of embedded systems, multitasking and Linux-based operating systems – an advantage
